Many gentlemen drive refined cars with leather interiors and know that in the summer, these surfaces can become incredibly hot to the point of literally burning your skin. This is not an exaggeration. It doesn’t matter if you use a windshield reflecting screen or park under a tree in the shade. It just heats up to a crazy temperature. I don’t know about you, but I got tired of turning on the car and waiting for it to cool down before I left from work.
The solution to this problem, for me, was the Pratt and Hart Leather Driving Gloves. It’s funny that, while leather is the problem, it also is the solution! These gloves are great. They slip on easily and have a wrist snap to secure them, rather than elastic or a loose wristband. My favorite part is the knuckle holes, which somewhat lend to keeping your hands cool, but definitely make for comfortable movement. They also have no interior lining leading to overheating of the hands. The best part is, they are nice enough to wear in the cold as well!
